The Academy is headed by Shri K. B. Dayani who has both academic and industry experience. He worked as Additional General Manager, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Hardwar and headed the personnel department, industrial relations department, legal department, security department and medical department. The work force employed was about 10,000. He handled 27 trade unions and maintained complete peace and tranquility. He also headed the personnel and administrative functions of BHEL’s Power Sector in which capacity he worked as personnel manager of all thermal, hydro and nuclear power projects of the BHEL all over the country and guided project managers on all HR related issues.

Since 1993, he is in the academic field and has conducted about 600 programmes. About 150 programmes have been conducted single-handed by Mr. K. B. Dayani himself on contract labour problems, labour law matters, disciplinary procedure from chargesheet to dismissal, industrial relations problems, safety, health and welfare issues at construction sites and factories. He has undertaken surveys and studies in Public and Private Sector Organizations on various industry related problems.
